Entrepreneurs’ Organization Shoulder Taps Impact PR

The New Zealand chapter of the international Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) has named Auckland consultants Impact PR as their public relations agency for this market.

In NZ, the non profit EO is made up of 77 business leaders from around the country whose companies have an average turnover of $14.5million and employ more than 2,900 staff.

The head of EO in NZ Lester Binns said working with a communications agency like Impact PR was essential to helping the group achieve their objectives.

“The purpose of the EO is to facilitate learning, networking and to foster the development of rising entrepreneurial stars in the local market.

“We provide a forum for business leaders to share ideas and experiences in a non-competitive environment – which can be hard to find as an entrepreneur.

“Bringing on a public relations agency with significant B2B experience like Impact will help us to raise awareness of the group and encourage other businesses to improve through collaboration.

“This year, we have a number of initiatives planned including the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards – a global competition for undergraduate and graduate students to adopt entrepreneurial endeavours, the Accelerator Program for up and coming businesses and the release of data from our Global Entrepreneur Indicator (GEI) survey,” he says.

Managing director of Impact PR Fleur Revell says the goals of the EO in this market are well aligned with the capabilities of her agency.

“The chance to work with EO in New Zealand is an exciting opportunity for us, we recognise the combined experience within the group will have much to offer us as a business partner,” says Revell.

Binns said a number of the group’s members were existing clients of Impact PR.
